Summerland Heritage Cider Co. has roots that go back through generations of orchardists. Friends and farmers Bob, Ron and Tom wanted less waste from their windfall apples. They got together one autumn over 20 years ago and made their first ciders. In their words, the first thing they learned was that they had to vastly improve their techniques....Well, they certainly did, and then wisely brought in the new generation of farmers and cidermakers.
In the past couple of years, Summerland cider has moved from a shack to a beautiful barn where you can enjoy their whole line up on tap. The patio looks out over the Kettle Valley Railway and is surrounded by their orchards. The acreage is a mix of cider varieties and dessert apples, and in addition to farming and pressing their own crops, Summerland Cider acts as a community hub for other apple farmers to press their juice.
Summerland Heritage Cider makes racy and exciting bottles that are a nod to the craft beer industry - you'll find a Gose or two, hopped cider and more. These are delicious, refreshing and unique creations.
